AmRaj is the joint advisory practice of Rajendre Khargi and Amrita Sietaram, two senior professionals who, between them, have spent a lifetime working at the seams that join the Netherlands, Suriname and the Caribbean. We offer counsel where institutional weight, cultural fluency and personal trust matter as much as technical expertise.
Our clients are organisations that operate in more than one world at once: commercial enterprises with Caribbean or Surinamese exposure, ministries and agencies navigating cross-border relationships, supervisory boards seeking experienced non-executive members, and cultural institutions stewarding the heritage of the Hindostani and wider Surinamese diaspora.
We accept a small number of engagements each year. We work in Dutch, English, Sranan Tongo and Sarnami Hindi, and our practice moves with us between The Hague and Paramaribo.
Rajendre Khargi
Rajendre Khargi served as Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Finland. His counsel is sought by boards, ministries and cultural institutions on matters where state, society and stakeholder must be brought into alignment. He writes regularly on geopolitics, the Caribbean, and questions of identity and memory.
